Garden Tools and Shed
Garden tools finally purchased for BCG use...all will be marked with duck tape and stored in our new shed as of Wed.evening, May 18th. We are so excited about having good quality, new tools to use! I am sure it will make our gardening more fun and make everything grow better! Thanks to grants received in previous years and garden registration $ paid, we are able to do this. A complete list of tools for gardeners' use will be sent to all gardeners and posted inside the shed, which will be locked for security. Now, we just need sun!

Post from Barb
A call to anyone interested in helping with ourlandscape/beautificationareas along the outside of the community garden fence. Or with the bexley;community herb garden.
Please meet this thursday (may 5) at the garden during the hours of 5:30 to 7:30. We will be working on the beds around the fence and hopefully planting some seeds and transplants. You do not need to be a member of the garden to help with this effort....Friends and neighbors are welcome.
Thereafter, we will meet every thursday, weather permitting. If you'd like to help, but can't make it then, we can use your help at a time convenient for you. Just e-mail diane gosser or i.
Please bring any plants or flowers you have to share. Hope to see you!

House & Garden Tour
I have officially confirmed that we are not on the tour for 2011 as they aren't doing any places in south Bexley, but they will keep us in mind for next year's tour.

Better Parking

Even though I live close enough to walk to the garden I do drive from time to time. On these occasions many times I end up parking in a muddy mess. Well no more! I arrived at the garden the other day to find these wonderful gravel parking areas right out front. Diane, our garden chair informed me that this was possible because of Mark Moore our City Services Liaison. Thanks Mark!
Correction! Apperently, Andy Bashore, head of our Service Department, is responsible for the gravel. So, big thanks Andy!
